Translation:
At the heavenly Jinling, I studied the Orchid Pavilion Preface of the Right General. Its elegance is admirable. I therefore send you this small poem, my dear friend:

Beneath bamboo, behind locust trees, the noontime shade is thick.
In dreams we tread the paths of Hua-xu.
In high spirits, I would gladly host ten guests,
And with harmonious fellowship, keep a tranquil heart.

I look forward to your instruction.
—Fu, with a bow.”
