Calligrapher’s note:
Wang Duo was erudite and widely learned, pioneering the fusion of stele inscriptions and model-calligraphy. Ming dynasty clerical scripts often carried a flavor of running-script. In this piece, I interpret Wang Duo’s clerical style through the lens of Qing-dynasty clerical methods.
